Can I skip days?

So I travel for 2 days every other week. The last 2 weeks have been the exception as I’ve been out of town for about 16 days. I was able to stop at home 8 days into my travels and do a 50% WC.

I’ve got hydros wifi feeders that I can manually have them drop pellets. I was feeding my 5gal office tank daily for 8 days and my nitrates spiked to 60ppm(hanna checker) and lost the 4 LPS’s that I put in a few weeks prior.

I also have a 33gal QT tank. I have not been checking nitrates on that one but I’m sure they’re high considering I’m rarely doing WC’s and at the last few days of my copper treatment.

I’ve got cameras on both tanks and all the fish looks beautiful and are active.

I would probably move to something less dense like freeze dried misys in the auto feeder rather than pellets or move to smaller pellets and cut way back on the duration the feeder runs

For your current stable of fish, yes. Once you get the tangs in the tank I probably wouldn't skip feedings (reduce if possible as opposed to skipping entirely).

I’m using Hikari S which are very small and feeding once daily. I have different freeze fried foods that I plan on making my own mix with. I can reduce the amount it disperses as well. Thanks!
