I'm currently in the process of upgrading and i had a powerhead in my old tank up until a few weeks ago and for about 2 weeks now the salt water has just been sitting in the tank with no movement.

I'm planning on using this old water and adding on since my new tank is now a 120 and the water i have now is only about 40 gal. Can i still use this water if it has been sitting there and if not can someone tell me why please? Thank you!

You should be able to use it. My newly mixed saltwater sits in brute cans for that long without any issues. I would just aerate it and throw it in.

You should be fine using some old water from your previous tank, aged water is pretty good for your tank but of course with great parameters and pristine just make sure you obviously have the same temperature on old water and new water.

Which ones are those?

Reef Crystals is one. Tropic Marin Bioactif is another. There may be others, but most do not, and any that do likely tout it as an advantage.
