Can I still use this water?

i always keep at least 15 gallons of mixed water change water going in a barrel. When doing maintenance today I noticed a pair of tweezers in the bottom of the barrel. It must have somehow gotten there during my fight with the gorilla crabs. The tweezers are starting to rust. So is it safe to still use or should I mix a new batch?

I'd mix new.

Why risk it? Better safe than sorry in this hobby.

Thanks you, I was just trying to be lazy. You can't do that in this hobby either.

Personally I would not worry at all about the tweezers. The GFO we use is pretty much just rust. If it were a rusty pipe you weren't away of what it was used for now that would be different.
