Can I trust this tank?

Hey, so I basically got this 42 gallon starfire glass cube aquarium for free but it has a bunch of chips and what looks like a crack. The person I got it from said it held water no problem. I’m scared if I drill the back panel it will eventually leak. What do you think? Worth the risk or should I just turn it into a terrarium.
