Can I use the Apex or Reef Keeper Elite controllers to turn 3 separate aqua-lifters on and off for a few seconds a few times/day?

A couple of seconds with an aqua lifter pump is a big dose IMO

I'm using an Apex to control three BRS's 2-part doser. I haven't had any problems with it. Works great.

The BRS doser costs $75 a piece right? This is my situation I have a 3 part doser but.... I have an oportunity to sell it and use the money towards a coveted controller. I was hoping I could use my controller as a DIY cheap doser since I can control so many outlets with the RKE. Is there a setting that would allow my idea of 3 aqualifters to work or is it as Bruno said a pointless idea.

I'd say that the aqualifters are probably too inconsistent to use as dosers. I'd keep your current doser and save up for a Neptune Apex. IMO they are much more intuitive, and a better bang for your buck over the RKE.

I figured that may be an issue, oh well I had an idea. thanks for input everyone I will keep my doser and save for the APEX

can you use the aqua-lifters as a dosing , sure. is it the best option probably not, you might be better off to use a dosing pump for it. i do use a aqua-lifters for my kalk reactor from my RKL unit and works great. I run it for only like 20 sec every couple hours you can plug a doing pump into any of those controllers and they work great. IMO, I do think a dosing pump would be better in the long run if you talking about dosing some type of two part.
