Can i turn my wave maker off at night?

I just got a nem and i don’t wan’t him to get stuck to my wave maker/ powerhead I’m going to rig up the powerhead tomorrow so he doesn’t get sliced and diced. I have some gsp, a green mushroom and bubble coral also. Will they be fine without it?

I have a return pump but the flow isn’t that strong
