I just picked up an Aqua UV sterilizer used. Having been told it was 57W, I bought a 57W bulb. Come to find it's labeled as 80W on the housing but it has a 25W bulb in it. Is it fine for me to put this 57W bulb in an 80W uv sterilizer?

Well both the 57W and the 25W are 20 inches long, as is mine. It must be one of those; the 57W bulb fits

But the unit has the 80w box checked

80 watt units are almost 3 feet long with dual tubes. Your unit is a 57 watt unit it appears by the label that says 0.48 amps.

I saw the 0.48A and ran the math to find 57.6W so it feels right... but I want to be sure before I start a fire or something
