We have family coming in town and my son wants his tank to sparkle. This is what it looks like normally. It hasn't been cleaned in 3-4 days, this is what the glass looks like. Also, the cyanobacteria is on the rocks is better than it used to be, but still there. Family is coming Friday. Can we use chemiclean to clear it up? Yes, I know it doesn't fix the underlying cause.

It's not usually this cloudy. He just pulled the carbon out, I'm sure it will be clear again in a few minutes

I would just clean the glass, siphon and Turkey baste the cyno off the rocks. If the family asks, that's cyno tell them, and I'm working on a method to eradicate it.

You can use it, I have and it cleared out my problem areas. You said it, it doesn't address the underlying problem but you can work on that after. If you are going to do it you need to put an air pump in the tank 24 hours before treatment to give the tank more O2. If you have a skimmer, pull the cup and let it overflow during treatment as that will also add more air. Have 20% water change ready after 2 days. Run carbon after and do another 20% a few days after the first.
