I am at Myrtle Beach,SC right now and I collected a bunch of shells, oysters, etc. Wondering if I could use these as media for my CaRX?

Coral skeletons too

I would not use shells of any kind in my carx.
Shells are removed from carx media as the contain and release po4 when dissloved in a carx.

How much PO4 are we talking about? I have picked out cigarette butts and a bunch of shells out of Reborn media so I hope that's not the case.

What media do you use? I use Reborn but heard that it might not available anymore. Looking for options.
