Randy if I use this instead of Dow flake how much would I use to make a gallon of mix with RO DI water.

I have been using the BRS calcium

That link doesn't give a quality grade for the material, but it is probably OK. Use about 20% less than my recipe that uses Dowflake.

It only said it was 99% pure.

I would use Dow but its not an on the shelf item here in central Florida.

The 99% could be a little misleading (perhaps meaning 1% moisture, but not really indicating how much other solid material is present as an impurity inside the calcium chloride, and certainly not indicating what that 1% consists of). But it is probably OK.
