I am getting conflicting info when I am doing my research. I am not looking to have an alternating gyre, just run it backwards a few times a day to change-up the flow. Look at the 1k for a 60g (24x24x24 cube).

Thanks in advance.

Yes; it does. Check out the manual under the "Downloads" tab here.

Note that when running backwards, the power output is diminished. So if you are running forward at 50%, you may need to run backwards at 100% to get the same flow (numbers are approx.).

Thank you. That is what I though, but then I saw some stuff about needing to get a different side to a gyre.

Think the 1k is enough for a 24x24x24 tank. I use sand and don't need all the flow the world... like a single 6105 Tunze in this tank would be more than enough for me.

Yes . I actually have two of the 3k with the newer lcd controller screen. I run mine forward for 12 seconds and back ward for 6 seconds . ramping up and down randomly .

They are about 6 months or so old now and have worked flawless.. Thou they are screamers when new. rum them at one steady motion for a few weeks to break them in

this is why you can buy two and switch cages in impellers , or purchase a extra set of cages one on left side of my tank has two a impellers and cages. One on right has two b impellers and cages. This makes one side push a lot of water when moving forward and pulls a a lot of water when in reverse.... A feature some do not think about...
