Can inverts or cuc carry diseases?

I need to add to my order to get free shipping what can I add that doesn't need to be QT? Fire shrimp? Snails? Anything?

With few exceptions (starfish, urchins, anemones immediately come to mind); most corals/inverts can host the tomont (encysted) stage of marine parasites (e.g. ich, velvet).

A snail or hermit shell, or shrimp exoskeleton most definitely could.

I think urchins and starfish can just be rinsed off as ich can't encyst on them, just be careful if they are carrying any shells or such on them that could be an issue.

Shrimps need to be quarantined, at least until they molt.

Snails need quarantine.

Glad I checked in the info they gave me was they couldn't. So at some point if I want to add a shrimp or CUC how do I QT them? Can't use copper then what?

I keep mine in my coral qt. Then when I move to display, I add a few more to the coral qt. Frags are getting same fallow period so works for me

That's exactly what I do. I recently emptied out my coral qt, so now it's time to go coral/invert shopping again!! Woot!

I suspect most worm eggs could hitchhike in on almost any coral/invert.

And since coral dips don't kill the eggs of coral specific pests (e.g. Red Planaria Flatworms), I doubt Monogenean (Flukes) or Turbellarian (Black Ich) eggs are impacted either.
