This poor guy didn't ship well.
Is there anything than can be done? Any suggestions?
I can't even identify it....
It appears to have a single mouth on the top and a ring of mouths under the edge.

Any movement will stress the coral further. Of course, if you notice infection, then you might dip it.
IME lower light is always better for recovering coral.

the problem is once the flesh pulls up from the skeleton like that and the mouth is gaping most of the time its just a matter of a few days before the flesh fully lets go. low to med flow keep hermits and stuff away from it. chances are you will lose most of it but i have seen even very small amounts of flesh on these things come back over time. if it does though it will be a very long time before its back to its full glory. def looked like a cool peice thats for sure.

i doubt it, i had one nice wild chalice colony misteriously start to peel off and actually looked exactly like yours does, i left mine alone with low flow, low light and within a few days it was all gone, i left it there and hoped it would magically come back but nah.

Thats not a chalice though. It looks like a Vitiensis Scolymia to me. Good luck with it.

It's actually a Australomussa.
Lugol's Dip, 2 drops in 2-3 cups of tank water for 4-6 minutes... Rinse in tank water and place in low light, SUPER low flow... You need to stick near your tank 15 minutes after the lights go out and watch for feeders. If you catch feeders, kill the flow and drop some fine meaty food on it.. let it sit for at least an hour. If this does not trigger anything, use a diluted small micron food like Oyster Feast/Pytho blah blah... and do the same feeding method to excite the feeders, if you choose to.. you can broadcast the small micron foods as well. You basically will need to "acclimate" it to food.

I'm not sure if you're saying you have the exact piece that was sold on LA, or you have a coral that is the same species/color as the one sold on LA?
Either way I hope the piece get nursed back to health. It is stunning even when 1/2 dead.
