Can light be TOO Intense?

This might be a rookie question, in which case i am, but i love softies and that will be my main type of coral in my tank and im worried i might be over kill on my lights. Ever since i switched lights, my shrooms and leather dont open up as much. And tank just doesn't seem to be as happy. Water parameters are perfect and 20% bi-weekly Water Changes. Not much for bioload.

This light seems a bit more intense than my other and I've dialed it down a bit. Thinking about going back to my old 90w LED lights.

Short answer, yes, there is such a thing as to much light. Soft corals require very little light, and if you blast them with high light, they can become unhappy.
