So I just transfered one of my tanks over to a new tank. I also upgraded to an aquatic life 150w metal halide that has a 14k bulb. I feel like this is a dumb question but I'm gonna ask. Lol can the metal halide be making my tank look cloudy? Or do you think it's just going through a mini cycle? When I turn my lights off the water looks crystal clear in the front and sides. But on it looks cloudy. (It's not the micro bubbles I'm talkin about I just topped of the sump that's why they're present)

Water may have fine particulates floating around that you do not notice if the light is off. When light is on it is reflecting these particles. Sort of like dust when the light is shining through a window.

I've noticed when my actinic led are on my water has a nice green tint. I am doing an experiment tonight to see if gac will take care of it

those are the BEST crabs.. they do an excelelnt job of digging in the sand keeping the surfaces turned over. I miss mine dearly, we could not keep up with his growth.

Turn the lights off and shine a flashlight through the tank, side to side or front to back and see if it looks like sparkly diamonds in the water. This is evidence of tiny microbubbles that you may not be able to see normally but cause cloudiness when the lights are on.
This is common with new systems or when you have transferred things to another tank as you pointed out. It will go away as the tank becomes "seasoned" again.
