My a**hole skunk cleaner shrimp did this. The coral wasnt as bad but it has kept getting worse, it been 2 weeks and i dont know what to do, he is in a low flow area of the tank. I dont know if hermit crabs are picking the dead skin at night or not at least i havent seen anything.

Forgot to add the parameters

Nitrates 0.22 (usually is 1)
Phos 0.11 (usually between 0.11 and 0.16)
Alk 9.2
Cal 400
Mag 1430
Sal 1.026

The shrimp was most likely eating the dying flesh. Stranger things have happened, but this is typical.
I thought that but he destroyed an acan colony that is currently healing now that i took him out of the tank, i didnt think it was him until i saw him going at it with the trachy.

First issue, is although the sandbed is best loaction, sand can get on it and irritate it or stress it to the point of tissue recession as you have.
I place mine on a rock to elevate it a little. They also like moderate light and water flow. The light seems a bit bright.
Feeding is another requirement 2-3X per week

Then come water:
salinity 1.025
ph 8.1 - 8.3
alk 8-9
mag 1300
CA 440
Nitrate < .05
Phos < .04
Temp 77-79

It may recover as non tissue area is white. Once it turns color- its done. If so, You Can superglue the dead are and the remaining should remain healthy

Ill put it on a rock, the last thing i want is sand to kill whatever it has left, the super glue part i didnt understand, you say to super glue everything thats dead?

After a couple of days if the bleached portion does not show recovery , you can cut off or superglue gel OVER the dead skeleton so it becomes a barrier to the flesh/meaty portion thats still healthy and thriving
In lieu of superglue, you can also use coral putty but Assure it is truly dead

Got it, thanks for the help ill keep an eye on it and if it starts to get worse ill glue that part. Thanks for the help

Should i keep feeding it like i normally did? Or should i leave it alone in the mean time?

You can try a feeding to see if it responds

Not sure if related, however, your nitrate to phosphate ratio is a bit off, with phosphates that high I would run nitrate around 10-15ppm

I am currently trying to raise it slowly, im dosing nitrates now. Im dosing 6ml a day of neonitro and i guess corals are consuming it because it hasnt gone over 1. Ill raise the dosage weekly because i dont wsnt a spike
