One of the things I’ve thought about recently is how hard it is to get nitrates and phosphates up in my tank. Although I do see coral growth, my Ph is never above 8.0 (via apex and ph meter off amazon) with a skimmer line outside, tons of turnover and not much of a leap when the window is open. I know when processing ammonia, an acid of some sort is produced. How likely is it that my nitrogen cycle is keeping me at 8 because how hard these guys are working?
