Can pvc gloves be used For tank cleaning?

My hands just don’t hold up to salt water anymore. Looking for a pair of gloves I can use for general maintenance in the tank. Anything from Menards or homedepot would be great since those are right down the road from me. Thanks.

Non powdered latex or nitrile gloves are good to use

Gloves are a good idea....About a month ago I spent 4 days in the hospital (including a trip to the operating room) because I got cellulitis from a cut I got moving rocks from one tank to another. It was a drag to finally move my livestock into my 180 gal upgrade, then not look at it for 4 days!

I bought these and really like them: (they say elbow length but I"m short, they reach my armpit)

I have a pair similar to these but made by a "marine" company for almost double the price! Just found these on Amazon though. They go up to your arm pits. I've also heard of people using veterinarian long gloves since they are disposable.

Thanks everyone. I have dealt with cellulitis from a spider bite and that sucked. My hands are always scrapped up from work. I didn’t think about infection from the water. Thanks.

Yeah, according to the Infectious Disease MD who treated me there are all kinds of nasties in fish tanks and they don't culture well so it's hard to know exactly what to treat for. I think I was on 7 different antibiotics throughout, 4 of them IV and I ALMOST ended up coming home with long term IV antibiotics. (glad I dodged that bullet at least). No fun for sure!
