Can salifert test kit accurately measure copper safe?

Has anyone used this combo before and does It work?

I've just started copper treatment for my fishes and so far I've added about 10ml of copper safe to around 15 gallons of water(half of the recommended dosage).

Salifert is telling me there's around 0.50 ppm of copper, which is awfully low seeing that I need about 2.0 ppm for copper safe to work and I've added half of the recommended amount.

Does it not work well for chelated copper like copper safe or could it be something else?

Check out this thread - apparently its not highly recommended - I might talk to saldiert as well? API seems to be the kit recommended for your brand of copper

I cannot believe this, somehow I managed to buy that one test kit that cannot detect chelated copper well.
