Can't really get it on google. I moved the specimen since and see that it has sprouted three tiny heads on my rock. Is this an invasive species?

Had a friend who jumped at the word "free" lol. I did like their look I just really don't want to have to worry about overly invasive corals down the road. Im only working with 13.5 gallons of real estate here haha. I'm keeping the three baby spawns and watching them closely though!

I lost my first one a while back. Got another and was worried it wasn't looking so good--not a great specimin--but it has surprised me. It's more than tripled in size or even more since end of July. And yes, it has attached to the rock. But I like it so that's okay. This one has very feathery polyps so not sure what type it is. My first one did not. So is this a clove?

I believe that’s anthelia

I looked it up and don't think so as the polyps do retract completely whereas Anthelia can retract but not totally.

That looks like a papaya clove to me. Not doing so good.

That looks like mine. Why did you say not doing so good. Compared to what it looked like when I got it, all scraggly, it's looking really good and seems very happy where it is as it has more than tripled its heads.

Maybe it's the lighting but it's normally purplish stalk and I apologize but didn't know what it looks like before this picture.

Hmmm, all the stalks are the pinkish tan, same as the main feathery parts and have been like that since I brought it home. It is just a lot healthier now. I suspect from looking on the internet that there are several color variations and the more purple ones have the purplish stalks. I saw others in the pinkish form with the green centers. But it's good you pointed it out so I'd go check!

Yeah, and again it could br the lighting. If you take the picture under heavy acitinic it will change color lol. Glad to hear it's growing.
