Can someone editify this critter?

Looks like my torch coral is dying one branch at a time.

Notice after the branch dies a little white tube sticking up that has a little white fan shooting out of it. Anyone have any idea what it is? Thought at one time it was the mouth. But one all the polips went away.....

It looks and sounds like coral barnacles, Google Pyrgomatidae and compare. I have had them in the past and the polyp was fine with the barnacle.

So I would not of thought thats why they are dropping off one by one.

That matches the images on google.

It probebly isnt this that us causing the die off. I have just switched to triton, and it dosnt seem to be happy with it.

Everything else is loving it, but this one seems to be upset. Hope it pulls through.
