Can someone help ID this?

I have not seen something like this before… almost looks like a small anemone but really “thin” looking if that makes sense.

It is a fairly new tank that had established for a month before anything was added. Only thing I have added so far is a clown and a zoanthus frag (that hasn’t opened yet) but did not have anything on it that resembled what’s in the picture.

Is it harmful? And could it have been in the rock already before I bought it? Just puzzled since I had never seen one before and then a day after adding the frag it was there.. haha
