It's a parasite that can spread to almost all your fish depending on what kind of fish they are, how well their immune system is, and how thick their slime coat is, as well as your water parameters.

Alright it's kind of ironic that the cleaner gobys are the ones that have it I also have 2 skunk cleaners I dosed half a dose of paraguard for display to see how the inverts take it it's a fowlr tank so no corals to worry about should. Also add some stress guard to help with slime coat? I normally soak my fish food in vita chem every day and sometimes with garlic guard so I added garlic guard to the food this morning when I noticed it hopefully I can shake this parasite from the display.

There's only two ways to rid display the tank completely. Treatment or going fallow. Treatment is probably not an option in your display.

This statement makes me think Brooke. Can we take a minute to see what the time line of this was? When was the last thing wet added to the tank? They have only had this starting today? Are there any other symptoms to go along with it? Lethargy, scratching, flashing, heavy breathing, lack of appetite? It could be ick, but ick and brook have different treatments so I'd like to check.

I've been working all day so I haven't gotten a chance to watch them that's the only thing I noticed is the two blue neon gobys no fish have been added to the tank in a month and I added a few blue legged hermits and snails to the tank last night but there was signs of any infection on the fish I saw them last night before lights out

I know they're not sifter gobies but could it be sand it would be kind of odd for them to both have some on them they just swim throughout the rockwork a lot maybe mucus from snails on the rock work got on them and they grazed some sand? Just shooting ideas I guess I'll know for sure when I see how they're acting and if any other fish show symptoms

If it's sand, then it will be gone by now. Or it would just rinse off, if you chose to take them out and do a freshwater dip for example. If it's still there, then there's a different problem going on.

Are they small like sugar or like salt? More than you can count?
I would say at this point it's probably ich. The spots should have "spread out" and the skin should be peeling like crazy if it were brook.

So the gobys are the only fish with visible signs and the black Ocellaris clown has literally only 2 visible sugar sized white dots, no other fish are showing signs. I know that the trophont stage is the only time we can see it with the naked eye is it possible the other fish haven't showeee symptoms yet every fish in the tank is eating, not breathing heavy, and acting normal. Should it be spreading to other fish how quickly does it spread?
