If it's a small one it won't hurt that bad. The piercing one could break skin as a small one but I wouldn't be to worried those are small holes.I have no clue what we are supposed to be looking at or the sentences you wrote to make sense of it either. If you have nothing in your tank and there is something making caves that big. You might have a hitchhiker like a mantis shrimp or a pistol shrimp. Don't stick your finger in there is all I am going to say. You could get speared or wacked and it will feel like you got shot by a .22 caliber pistol if it is the smashing kind. The water collapses and can heat up to the temperature of the Sun's surface which is about 5,775 Kelvin Units. Which is about 10,000 Fahrenheit (5,600 Celsius)
Does the skin thing look like a molt of some sort? Mantis shrimp are very protective so if you have something long enough to mess with the holes move it around the entrance and see if something comes out to attack it.The first pic was of like a skin thing that floated around.. I do have snails but it looked to large guess it was hard to see... Second picture is in the cave there's like a straight white thing coming out of rock in the cave. Hard to see.
Did you buy live rock that could have contained a hitchhiker? If it's a molt it could be a Mantis shrimp or some other crustacean. Don't use your fingers but mess around in front of the holes with something Mantis shrimp will attack stuff if it's messing with their homes.Yes looks like a molt of some sort but have nothing that big that I know of in tank. It's why it confused me
Ok let me know what you find I want to set a tank up for a Mantis shrimp.Ok thank you I'll try that. Yes I bought some live rock from lfs.
