Trying to figure out what this is on my lord frag. I have noticed it does contract when flow hits it. This the best picture I could take.

I believe that's a variety of colonial tunicate.

Harmless filter-feeder, but often something of a temporary guest in our tanks.

Thanks Bruce. I was thinking maybe it was some type of anemone
