Can someone help me ID this?

I am starting to see these in my tank. I'm not sure I've had them before and hoped someone could please help me identify them and if they are good or bad? Only in sump and drain areas. Not in main display...yet

Ooh, interesting! Do they move around sometimes like anemones can, or do they seem like they are stuck in place like a sponge or coral?

They seem to stay in one place but they have grown in size the past few weeks.

I’d guess some sort of sponge but those are weird looking.. @ISpeakForTheSeas

That flute looks like sponge, but the rest seems like a nudi, slug or cucumber. Definitely weird, interested to hear what others say.

They're definitely either sponges or tunicates - I'm leaning toward sponges due to the root-like base there, but I'm not confident on that. Regardless, they should be harmless filter-feeders, and they're pretty neat looking - especially that last one, which is quite unique.

These are VERY cool looking, and I am leaning towards sponge as well. If they get intrusive I might have to buy some off you.

Sponge, harmless filter-feeder. Also have a bunch of those growing around my tank
