Can someone help me identify it? (Branches with white dots)

Hi everyone,

So recently I've been getting more and more of this algae, it looks like it prefers low light/shaded areas of the aquarium. Can you help me identify so I know how to deal with it?

They seem vermetids

They are not solid so I think not.. they are always waving by the current , no "solid" structure

Does anyone have any idea? Clean up crew look like not eating it, also can't find any information about this..

Why do you think it is algae rather than an animal?

looks like what I had best I could find was some species of Hydrozoan. Is this what they look like.

From what I could see, they are brownish, wave like an algae, and have the same texture as algae when out of the water

I'm not sure as they don't have something like a "polyp" , and don't react to anything I do to them.. Is there anyway I could confirm?

If you have what I did mine disappeared in a month or so. They spread a little if I messed with them so I just let them be an one day I didn’t see them anymore. Still not sure how I got them hadn’t put anything in the tank for over a month then added CUC and boom they showed up.

Confirmed it today it is Hydroids indeed... any idea how to get rid of them ? Or just "wait"?

These have been growing over sometime ... dont look like stopping , but they seem to prefer shaded areas
