I have the same ones! Also love that the stalks glow bright green under blues

Yeah, They are awesome under the blues. I just fragged them down. Just flit the two branches. Spread the awesome across the tank.

not sure what species but if they keep those fat short tenticles it'd be pretty sweet. one of my fav corals mine have about 1 1/2 inch tentacles that are somewhat skinny in comparison

I think flow and light has alot to do with length if tentacles. Just as zoa's and paly's. I fragged my duncans several times. The ones where there is less flow. The tentacles are shorter and fatter. Even though they are from the same colony and same tank.

ya that makes sense... now that i think about it i've only seen 2 species of duncans at my LFSs around here... one is a nice green/pink hue look and one is mostly a blandish looking pink.

Crummy picture, but I have something similar. Sold to me as 'Aussie Duncans' they have bright green stalks and a mint green disc. Very cool, I love them and they eat pellets and frozen as well as a duncan should. Sorry I don't have a better name and here is a crummy pic:

i've been feeding mine mysis shrimp with great success :) i really did not research about feeding them just noticed with feeding my other corals that the duncans enjoyed to participate too lol... i think i've had my duncans for about 2-3 years ago started with 2 heads... currently (including the small heads) there's about 15-20. 9 are at least inch in diameter. rest are dime-sized and smaller

Mine has the mint green disk and awesome bright branches also. Out of everything I have in my tank, that is differently my favorite.

I have the same ones and they were sold to me as Aussie metallic green Duncan's. I love mine easy to care for and grows like a weed! And my female clown has decided to host in it ... Strange but still cool to look at !! I have to get her a rainbow nem ! But all and all one of my favorites in my tank !

At least now I have a name for it. I do have the first set of heads in a lower flow are, and the tentacles are shorter than the other set of heads I have in the higher flow area.

Duncans seem to have suffered from less of the "designer" naming than other corals like acros or chalices, and I haven't really seen universally accepted names for any particular morph. There are descriptors used like "giant green polyp duncan" but that seems to be about it. As far as species is concerned, Duncanopsammia is a monospecific taxon, meaning there is only 1 species, D. axifuga.
