Grabbed some of the red/brown crap off my sand bed and put it under a microscope at 1200x. Can anyone tell what this is?

I've seen similar looks suspects in my scope pics. I cant help but I'm curious myself. I also have, what looks like, earthworms but on a microscopic scale. I saw them while looking at these in my tank. Do you have these "earthworms" too?

I did not see any earthworm looking things in my samples, just these dots it seems.

2nd and 3rd picture im almost positive is dinoflagellates. thats exactly what mine looked like, do they move around?

Yes they do, were you able to fix your dino problems?
personally i was able to control them by raising my nutients but they were always present in some spots and never went completely away. i eventually tore the tank down because it was such a nuissance. other people have been successful ridding them, but unfortunately it was too much for my nano. good luck!

Dinos... go to the huge dino post in the nuisance algae forum to compare to the dino pics there. This will then help you figure out how to proceed to clear them out.
