Most likely yes. A hitchhiker. It doesn’t make babies, it’s an algae. It will continue to grow if conditions are appropriate and if you leave it aloneNeed more info.
Was it hitchiker of rock?
I see babies.
Yes it just started growing on my rock. I was gone for a week and had someone caring for my tank and it grew. It’s soft. Do I need to remove it or could I let it grow there?Need more info.

Is it a bad type of algae or could I keep it in there? I would remove it but it looks pretty. Most likely yes. A hitchhiker. It doesn’t make babies, it’s an algae. It will continue to grow if conditions are appropriate and if you leave it alone
It is soft and squishy. Is it leafy or thicker like a sponge? Looks like a red macro algae to me (Gracilaria Curtissae?). Which would be safe.
