Anemone for sure. If you did not obtain it on purpose, one common pest / freeloader is Aiptasia. A white light picture would help confirm identification. Assuming it is Aiptasia, get rid of it now. They breed like rabbits

That’s an Aptasia anemone, remove it from the tank without injuring it so it doesn’t multiply. Then safely dispose of it.

Thanks everyone for the quick response. Unfortunately, I tried to grab out of the substrate with tongs, but it suck backed in. I dug through the substrate, but cannot find it. I will continue the search. Do hermit crabs or peppermint shrimp work on these guys?

Peppermint shrimp will eat them, but hermit crabs will not. The next time it pops up to feed, squeeze a dab of super glue gel over it.

You might want to invest in one of these if you see anymore:

I have 2 in my tank that I've been trying to get out for about 4 days. Theyre both in a hole in my rock. I am about to have to go crazy mode to get them out if my peppermint shrimp won't decide to eat them. They suck in everytime my tongs get close.

Well I was able to get the two I saw out of the tank. Will continue to monitor. I appreciate the great information so I could resolve this quickly.

If they are in the substrate, just vacuum them out next time.
