This is a colony at Aquarium, from which I have a frag. Crap picture, but perhaps some of you know the piece. Looking to identify.

A valida

So has the flow caused it to reach like that David?

Could be any of 6-8 species. Has it been heavily fragged before? I suspect the growth form is what is throwing the ID off as it seems atypical but that is not that unusual for Acroporas.

As far as I know, they don't typically cut it. I have a small frag, and, there is a small frag for sale in one of their smaller SPS tanks. Who knows what had happened to it before the shop got it though.

I wanted to mount mine, and was wondering about required vertical space. If it's A. valida, I may think twice, as I already have a couple valida looking pieces.

Thanks @cee!
