Hello all, I've had my hammer for about a month now. It's been doing great and even beginning to split already in the front head, but the back two are receded and not looking so good. Can you guys tell me what it looks like to you and if it's something I should be concerned about please?

Sorry to tell you but the back two head are gone, nothing will help them at this point. The best thing to do is remove them and frag that branch off and toss it.
It looks like brown jelly disease. The front head should look like the other hammer too, not sure what happened to it but that whole frag looks sick..
Sorry... :(

Dang that's really a bummer! Thank you for the quick response though man, I really appreciate it!

Yeah I just lost a hammer to Brown Jelly as well. Pull it ASAP and frag the healthy parts off. I've heard that an iodine dip can help prevent it spreading to the new frags but I can't confirm or deny that

I appreciate the heads up! Unfortunately, I was too late and it got to all of the heads.. Luckily it didn't affect the rest of my corals, but was still a downer :/

Having lost a few frags myself, dont be too hard on yourself. Sometimes, even when all conditions are proper, things just dont adapt well. Chin up and carry on friend!
