Can Someone please tell me what this white stuff is

Looks like a sponge to my eye. Could be a bacterial bloom as well. I know of people who've had bacterial blooms so bad it looked like clumps of snot.

Bacteria. I had a mat of it so thick I thought it was a hitchhiker coral. It goes away on its own and doesn’t seem to bother anything.

Almost looks like dying hair algae as well. I only had two seconds to see though. Lol.
