I just got the powder Blue in from Petco online, yea I know Petco sucks but he was 60 bucks and I figured for that price id gamble.
Anyway, he has these bumps I'm not sure what they are. I know it might be hard to see but it's hard taking pics when he won't stay still. lol
As of now, he is just in the QT with no meds, I always like to observe first before adding meds, it's just how I do it. What should be my next step with this beauty? It doesnt look like ich to me, I was thinking flukes maybe?

Anyone? I need help I have been reading online but can't find anything that looks like this.
Here's some better pics. It seems to be just big zit looking bumps on his body nothing on his fins that I see.

You can try a freshwater dip to see if flukes fall off. If it is another parasite then it will provide temporary relief. Looks too big to be ich, I’m not sure what it could be.

This was my thoughts also, too big for ich. I hate doing FW dips the fish go crazy

@Big G often provides valuable insight into fish disease IIRC.

I hope your fish makes it. My LFS bet me I could not keep mine alive as PBT are ich magnets. So far so good. A bully, but still my favorite.

I’ve read Big G reply that tangs can get a bacterial infection after copper treatment sometimes. Do you know if petco had this fish in copper?

I don't think so, I have asked Petco in the past if they treat with any meds and they told me they don't. The fish go in and out so fast there's no point is what they told me.

Question for you guys, qt tank is 7.8 ph and my freshwater Is 9ph is that too much of a swing? If so how do you lower it? I’m always trying to raise it so I’m not sure lol
