Why don't you like them and how would i get rid of them?i just got some live rock in and i seen these little guys.my tank is still new only had it setup since last saturday.i dont want anything thats going to hurt my tank seeing as how i want corals in the future.any tips or would be greatly appreciated

They are typically in everyone's tanks. They clean the sand bed and are usually never seen. Unless they get out of control, I'd ignore them.

I try to avoid things that can hurt me. You can trap them by putting in a stocking with food inside and propping open the one end. They can go in, but their bristles keep them from coming out.

It's unlikely that they're very beneficial to the reef tank. They eat detritus (leftover fish food, poop, and other decomposing material), but so does so many other clean up crew (CuC) members and basically every other sort of good hitchhiker. And if they are eating a fair amount of detritus, then they're reproducing and storing those nutrients in their bodies and in your system for eternity. The love of them just doesn't make sense. If they eat a lot of gunk (which is what we want out of our CuC), then their population will grow until you have a population issue. If they're not eating much, then they don't provide any benefit. Either way, they're function can be achieved with about $10 at reefcleaners.org and by much more interesting and entertaining (and less gross) creaturesz
