I noticed this tube the other day. It has started to grow. I have looked around the internet and couldn't see a pic quite like this one. I'm thinking it's some type of worm. Wondering if it is beneficial, if not how do I get rid of it. It's the white tube running down the side of my cyphastrea and now has crossed over to the zoas on the right. Thanks

my old rock had that ALL over it, if i remember correctly it was from worms... never effected my corals or anything.. had a few that were a couple inches.

I could very well be a tubeworm that builds a mucus lined tube. Or it could be a zoanthid spider. I'd look at what's in the tube to be sure.
