I've been having trouble getting the ph down in my calcium reactor, I think I found the problem. There is what looks like a 1 way valve between the reactor and the bubble counter that isn't letting much of anything through either way. Do I have to have this, I figured it would stop water from going from the reactor to the bubble counter, but it isn't functioning properly. If I need it where can I get a replacement?

Yes you need the check valve to prevent water backing up into your regulator and CO2 bottle once it goes empty.
Try soaking your check valve in a vinegar solution for an hour or so, it should clean any deposits out and allow it to work freely again. If not most any of the online stores that sell calcium reactors or even RO systems should have them.

Thanks. I tryed blowing through it the correct way and it took a bunch of pressure to make one little bubble. I'm assuming it souflow relitively freely one way and not at all the other?

Yes one way should pass easily. I would saok that one and get a replacement or 2 just to keep on hand. IMO

I soaked it for a couple hours and I thnk its shot. I blew as hard as I could and all I got was one little bubble. This would explain why I couldn't get my ph down in the reator. I'm going to replace it this weekend. Thanks for the help.
