I had stray voltage.

I would get shocked when I touched my tank with wet hands. Turns out it was from a cheap UV sterilizer I got off Amazon.

Idk how my fish survived it (I'm so sorry guys) but I was wondering if a silver lining is that it could kill parasites? My tank at one point did have ich, flukes, and black ich. All from the cutest hippo tang I naively bought from PetCo when I was first starting out. They were all treated with copper and other medications but I didn't have the means to let the tank sit empty for months to completely cure it.

If your fish survived probably not but water and electricity are a bad idea and it’s good you found the source.
