Can these corals be close to each other

Iv got another elegance coral coming but only place to put it in tank is side of my other elegance coral" will these play nice if touch one another or do damage?

is the sand bed only place to put a elegance?

It's hard to say. Sometimes creatures like to play nice (maybe close genetically) sometimes not. You can try to put them together, but depending on compatability the sweepers can deliver enough of a jolt to slowly kill the new coral. Proceed with caution.

Idk about elegance next to each other like that, but I have mine in my rock work and it’s doing great
