Long story short I was shutting down my tank, an emergency came up. Someone put these outdoors for 2 days in the cold whilst replacing the SW in their container, rinsing it with tap water and filling up the container with tap water. Is there anything I can do to save them? So far I've put new sand in their container and put that in circulating heated SW.

You should be fine. When I lived in the Florida Keys many years ago, mangroves would stay out of the waters in certain swimming holes for some days and they survived and flourished.
