Looking for a sanity check here pls...

Started dosing Vibrant on my 9 month old tank due to uncontolled spread of turf and bubble algae.

After a couple of weeks, the water has become lighly cloudy. Not milky white, but noticeable cloudy.

Could this be an effect from dosing vibrant and perhaps be the dead algae matter feeding bacteria in the water?

Would dosing other starter bacteria to see if it helps interfere with Vibrant?

I wouldn’t recommend dosing more bacteria with the vibrant I would probably start by running some carbon give it a few days to a week and see how it goes from there, how often are you dosing the vibrant

Vibrant is a bacterial culture. You’re getting a bacteria bloom from the die-off of other material in your tank and the bacterial population from the vibrant has exploded to the point of clouding the water. Just leave the tank alone and it’ll clear up in a day or so. I have tons of experience with carbon dosing and bacteria. This is what’s happening in your system and it’s best if you just leave it be. Don’t add more stuff, don’t do a water change. Just leave it alone!

Thanks. I was thinking of adding Carbon as the previous member suggested. Do you think that would be fine, or would interfere with the “process”?
