Can vinegar be added when tank is cycling?

Using ammonium chlor8de and seachem stability, mu ammonia is 0, but its been 21days and ny no2 and no3 are way high off the charts.

Can i add vinegar? My tank is 130g and i dont have any drum or container to do a 50% wc. The biggest drum i have is a 20kg salt bucket.

Any other ideas?

You should wait till no2 drops. I've seen cycles take up to 6 weeks. After that perform a water changer. I don't think vinegar should be used at this stage.

I second this, I've added vinegar during my cycle thinking it would prevent an algae bloom and I leaned that if your going to have one nothing is going to stop that really. All tanks go through various blooms.

I doubt it matters, but I wouldn't start until the ammonia is gone.

Ammonia took 10days to become 0. Nitrites and no3 are off the charts, too high. So shoukd i add? Howmuch do i start with if yes?

Here's an article on vinegar dosing that gives some dosing guidelines, but I'd personally ramp up the dose faster than it suggests.

Kool article... just a stupid que, will it decrease nitrite also? Would u consider starting with 20ml per day per 120g?

Nitrite should disappear on its own, but it is possible the added organics may drive bacteria that use nitrite as a nitrogen source.

As per article u start with 15ml per 100g, im starting with 30ml per 120g (water volume)

Just gotup and saw that the water has turned a bit milky. Im sure its bacteria bloom, so i guess ill dose 20ml today night. And see again tomorrow morning. Does the bloom go away on its own?

Hey, i added 30ml the first day, then 15ml for 2 days. Measuerd now, and my nitrite is now 0 and no3 10...[emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji4]

So now what should be my next step?
Should i add ammonia less then half i dosed (5gms for 120g water volume) or no need?
Or do i add a shrimp or fish now or wait for the bloom to go away for a day or 2 then add them?
Should i continue adding 10ml vinegar?
