Can you dip cheato with Melafix?

I want to dip cheato to get rid of any pests that can hide in the cheato. Can cheato be safely dipped in Melafix?

You probably could do that then rinse like crazy with rodi and soak then maybe a saltwater rinse. If you think you sorced it from someone's tank that has nasty pest just don't use it.
