Can you frag a gorgonia

Hey R2R I have a gorgonia the thin branch. Sorry I don't know the name of it. Its blue with purple polyps.
Can this guy be fraged? He is growing quite large and want to add him in a few different spots.
Would fraging it kill it?

Fragging it can definitely be done I have some that have been fragged it just takes longer for the fragged pieces to heal and settled to start growing again for me anyway but once they do the grow rapidly again

Doin just take a branch off?

Yeah just use a sharp edge and cut the branches that grow out from it then mount on a plug
anytime!
 
Go to the "garf" site. They have a detailed write up on how they frag their gorgs. You need to strip the flesh off base of frag where attaching like striping a wire for better success. Hope that helps
