Looks like either a scolymia or cynarina. How large is it? sort of looks like an acan polyp too but can not tell the size.

I thought it was a scoly when I picked it out at the LFS, and I told my husband I needed it because I think it will change colors under my lighting(they have their frags under PCs) and I think it's going to turn into something awesome. The guy at the LFS took it back to his manager and came back and said it was a Lobo. I have it next to my lobo and it looks a lot different.

No, it's kind of a purplish/brown and blue right now.
It's about 2 inches in diameter.

There are lots of lobo species out there and they are all a little different looking, but it looks just like a couple of lobos that I have in my system.

Either scolymia or acan maxima. Never seen a scolymia in person, but I know 2" sounds alot like a maxima size.

After reading everyone's ids and looking at a bunch of pics of everything, I'm pretty sure it's a scoly. I just fed him and he's puffing up a little better that that pic from last night. I'll try to get a better pic in a little bit.

i paid 90 for my scolly and that was the lowest price i could find they average 150 just about anywhere that looks a lot like a scolly to me...(you suck!) ha i never get these deals!
