Is this a condy? If so should I keep it?

It could be a condy. I had one until it got too big for my tank. Keeping it is up to you but it can sting other corals.

A BTA could sting other corals also but if you want something to host clowns the BTA is a better choice.

Sorry this is my first anemone. Ive been reading that condy can kill fish too... do you have any anemones?

i have 9 anemones in my tank, and so far they have not killed any fish.
I have 5 rock flowers
2 condy
2 bubble tips
and soon to have a hell fire

I have a 30 gal tank, with a 10gal sump.
I exchange water about 200 gal an hour and am using T5 HO lighting. My tank gets feed fish food every day for the three fish, and the nems eat every other day or every two days. I give them really small amounts because I like to watch them eat and do not want to over feed the critters and crash the tank in the process of over feeding

I'm not really sure what the max is per say for a tank, but I feel as if the water is clean and they are healthy... no harm done.
The funny thing I have learnt in this life of hobby is trust everything people tell you about "your" tank with a gain of salt.. not everything works for everyone across the board.. I went to a nem tank because I was having troubles keeping hard corals.. They would only last a month. I found out nems and zoa's thrive and do awesome in my tanks.

I was told by a person how came over to pick up some nem clones that my water looked too clean and my tanks substrate has no foul or mess.. This really got me thinking of why I was having problems growing some corals. All my levels are perfect, I do weekly water changes, and try to keep the water topped off the best I can until I can get an ATO. I do not douse my tank at all, and my skimmer only runs for 4 hours a day. Who knows why my tank is so clean, but I'm just glad I do not have many issues like others with algae.

Man I'm jealous haha, I recently had problems with ich. i wish i had perfect waters haha

Are you making your own water or getting it from the LFS?
How often are you checking your water?
What is the flow in your tank like?
What size skimmer do you have? if you have one?

I'm getting it from the lfs. I check my water weekly and do water change weekly. My flow is pretty strong and it sucks cause I cant adjust it. And I don't have a skimmer or do I know how to use it

the stronger the flow, the more unhappy the nem will be. What type of tank are you using? standard/BioCube/ with or without sump? over flow box or direct feel into the sump?

What state are you located in? is there a local Reefing club you can be a member of? I know the one here in WI is a great group of people willing to help anyone!

I have a jebo aquarium. It just came with the filter and power head. The lfs told me I was fine so I didn't invest in a new aquarium.

Haha I'm a college student so I can't really invest in good equipment

I know the feeling... I returned to college after 20 years of working.. I'm in my 5th semester with 2 more years left to go.
Hence why I have a 30 gal tank and bare requirements to get by:)
Best thing to do on a budget is by used.. craigslist is awesome for it. I think my whole set up ran around $300 (not including the corals/fish and nems)

try pointing the powerhead at the water return.. it will give you more erratic water patterns and also will slow the flow a little.

I am using two power heads that are well lower then I need for my tank.. I think I was told to get one that was 600gpm, and I am using two 425gpm pointed at each other from across the tank.. it makes for a nice small wave motion until i can afford a wave maker.

Check out the anemone forum on here and ask all the questions you can. Free advice never hurts

So i ended up returning the condy and I'm gonna wait until they restock on the green bubble tip

Ahhh that sucks.. LOL
You will be happy with the BTA. I am looking for one that is a powder blue color. It's been a rough journey, but I met someone at FragFest on saturday that said he will talk to a few of his people.. he could have one for me in the next few weeks.
