i just recently purchased and installed my Gyre and love the easy and flow i am getting from it. just wondering if it is possible to have too much flow in the tank.
mixed reef with spa and lps across the tank. my tank is the red sea max 650s which is 5 feet long and getting complete circulation now, that i wasn't getting before.
just wondering how intense i should have the pump run.
thank you in advance!!!

Too much flow is possible. If your sand bed is blown everywhere or your LPs don't fully open. I think more than the amount of flow (gph) the type is more important. Haven't gotten a Gyer yet but the circular full water column movement is what's important. Getting all the water moving prevents dead spots keeping waste suspended allowing for its removal.
