Can you have too many capepods?

So I added a refugium and live capepods to it about six weeks ago and now my display tank is swarming with them. Can you have too many?

Just wandering about this, is it a case of buying pods and just put them in the tank, preferably at night from what I've read and off they go, pr is there more to it? I do see some pods when lights are out, but not as many as I used to.

You should feed them Phytoplankton as well. More food = bigger population. In moderation though

I've added a bunch, but never see them! I feed them phyto every night, but haven't seen a pod ever.

Can they not live off the excess food and algae in the tank or purely phytoplankton.

I have cheeto in my refugium and it is lighted at night for 8 hours when my display tank lights are off. I haven't fed them at all.

Yes they can survive off leftovers, but I don't think they'd thrive. Just personal opinion tbh.
