Found it at the beach, it's not a coral.
I think it's a sponge but not sure. Deep red color (almost looks life a fruit but it's not).

Was holding on to a rock.

The location would probably help people. Could be something specific to a certain region.

Look up Tethya aurantium (Orange puffball sponge). Again, location of collection would help.

It looks just like it.

I'm in Australia, southeast Queensland.

It's a bit off the spots it says it's found, though it's possible as it says it can be found more towards south of Australia.
